Window XP

1. Port Setting

i. Right click My Computer icon on your desktop

ii. Click Properties

iii. Click Hardware on System Properties menu

iv. Click Device Manager

v. Double click on Port (COM & LPT)

vi. Right click on Communications Port (COM1) or selected Port

vii. Click Properties

viii. Click Port Setting from the Communications Port (COM1) Properties menu.

ix. Set all the parameters as above

x. Click OK.

Completed on Port Set-Up.

2. Modem Set-Up

i. Open Control Panel

ii. Click Printers and Other Hardware from list of icons

iii. Click Phone and Modem Options

iv. Click Modem menu from the Phone and Modem Options, and click Add

v. Click in the dialogue box beside the Don't detect my modem…….

vi. Click Next

vii. Select Standard Modem Type from Manufacturers list, and select Standard 19200 bps Modem from Models list

viii. Click Next

ix. Highlight the selected port.

x. Click Next

xi. Successfully modem installed. Click Finish.

xii. Computer displayed modem installed, highlight on Standard 19200 bps Modem, then click Properties.

xiii. From menu click modem, select Maximum Port Speed as 115200.

xiv. From menu click Advanced.

xv. Type AT+CRM=150 in the Extra initialization commands column, then click OK

xvi. Click OK on the Printers and Modem Options.

Completed Modem Installation.

3. Dial-up Connection Set-up

i. Open Control Panel

ii. Click Network and Internet Connections

iii. Click Set-up or change your Internet connection

iv. From Connection menu, click Add

v. Select Dial-up private network, and click Next.

vi. Click in the dialogue box of Modem Standard 19200 Modem (COM1), ensure other modems unmark in the dialogue box, then click Next

vii. Type Phone number as 1515, then click Next

viii. Type your connection name in the column, then click Finish.

ix. In Dial-up settings, type your User Name and Password, then click OK.

Now your connection registered in Internet Properties, then Click OK.

Completed Dial-up Connection.

Internet Connection Using ACH-700

1. Select Setting from Menu
2. Select Data Service from Setting list
3. Select Received Mode from Data Service list
4. Select Data from Received Mode list
5. Connect Data Cable to ACH-700 and connect other end of Data Cable to serial port of RS-232 onto your computer.
6. Now your can dial the connection.

Win 98

1. Port Setting

vi. Click Port Setting from the Communications Port (COM1) Properties menu.

2. Modem Set-Up

i. Open Control Panel, click Modem from list of icons

ii. Click General from the Modem Properties menu

iii. Click Add to install new modem

iv. Click in the dialogue box beside the Don't detect my modem…….

v. Click Next

vi. Select Standard Modem Type from Manufacturers list, and select Standard 19200 bps Modem from Models list

vii. Click Next

x. Modem successfully installed. Click Finish.

xi. Computer displayed Modem Properties to confirm new modem in the list, highlight on Standard 19200 bps Modem, then click Properties

xii. In General menu will showed selected port and select 115200 as a Maximum speed from the list.

xiii. Click Connection from the Standard 19200 bps Modem Properties menu.

xiv. Connection preferences parameters should be as per displayed, then click Advanced.

Please key-in AT+CRM=150 in Extra settings column.

xvi. Click OK, and then click Close at Modem Properties.

3. Dial-up Connection Set-up

i. Open Control Panel

ii. Click Dial-Up Networking

iii. Click Make New Connection.

iv. Type your dial-up connection name, and ensure your modem type is Standard 19200 bps Modem.

v. Click Next

vi. Type dialing number 1515 in Telephone number column.

vii. Click Next

viii. New dial-up created, click Finish.

ix. Right click on your new dial-up connection if you wish to Create Shortcut to be appear at your desktop.

Completed Dial-up Connection.

Internet Connection Using ACH-700

1. Select Setting from Menu
2. Select Data Service from Setting list
3. Select Received Mode from Data Service list
4. Select Data from Received Mode list
5. Connect Data Cable to ACH-700 and connect other end of Data Cable to Serial Port of RS-232 at your computer.
6. Now your can dial the connection.
