Steps For Installing Driver(s) [Win98/Me]

1. Insert the USB TA Cable in the proper slot on your PC. Windows shall detect the USB ISDN TA

2.Click Next.

 

3. Click "Next" after selecting "Search for best driver…"

4 Click on "Browse" button and give the path of accompanying CD-ROM's Win 98_Me folder.

5 Click "OK"

6 Click "Next" on the next window to see the following window

7 Click on "Next" after selecting "The Updated Driver" option

 

8.Click on the Next button to install the driver

 

9.After driver installation, ISDN Configuration screen would appear.

10.Click on "Next" button

11 Select DSS 1 Euro ISDN and click "Next".

12 Click on the "Next" button.

13 Click "Finish.

14 Click on Yes Button. If this Dialog Box does not come then also it is required to restart your PC after Driver Installation is finished.

Note: After PC restart, ISDN tools setup utility will start. The installation is same for each Operating system and is given under section heading "Steps For Installing The Utility"

Steps For Installing Driver(s) [Win2000]

1.Insert the USB TA Cable in the proper slot on your PC

2.Windows shall detect the USB ISDN TA and will launch the 'Found New Hardware Wizard'.

3. Click on the Next button.

4. Select "Search for a suitable driver…" and click "Next"

5.Select "Specify a Location" option and click "Next"

6. Click on "Browse" button and give the path of "Win 2000_XP" folder in the accompanying CDROM

7. A list of 4 INF files will be displayed. Don't select any of them, click on "Open" button

8. Click on "OK" button on the next screen

9. Click on the Next button

10.Click on the Finish button.

11. As soon as you will click on the finish button it will ask for Device Installation, Click on the Install button

After driver installation, ISDN tools setup utility will start. The
procedure is given under section heading "Steps for installing
the utility"

Steps For Installing Driver(s) [Win XP]

1 Insert the USB TA Cable in the proper slot on your PC

2 Windows shall detect the new hardware and will display the "Found new Hardware" wizard

3 Select "Install from a list or specific location" and then click "Next"

4.Select "Search for the best driver…" and then "Include this location in the search" and then click "Browse

5.Give path of "Win 2000_XP" folder from the accompanying CDROM

6.Click "Next" on the next window

7 .Windows will search for the driver at the location

8.If "Check for Driver Signing" option is enabled in the "Control Panel \ System \ Device Manager, following message may appear

9 Click "Continue Anyway"

10. Driver Installation will begin

11 Click on "Finish" after driver is installed

12. A window displaying available protocols will appear. Click "Install"

Note: After driver installation, ISDN tools setup utility will start. The
procedure is given under section heading "Steps for installing
the utility"

Steps For Installing The Utility

1. As soon as you will restart your PC after driver Installation, The ISDN Tools Utility installation window will open up automatically.

2. Click on the Next button.

3. Give the proper path where you want to install the ISDN Tools and then Click on the Next button.

4. Click on the Install button.

5. Click on the Finish button

Making a new Connection

1.Go to the dial-up Networking to make a new Connection

2. In case of Windows 2000 / XP select the following choice

3.Click on "Next" button


4. Select "Dial up connection" and select "Next"

5. On all the Operating Systems, following protocols will be installed.

"Ascom 2400 modem"
"Ascom ISDN Dynamic MLPPP"
"Ascom ISDN Fax"
"Ascom ISDN MLPPP"
"Ascom ISDN PPP"
"Ascom ISDN T.70"
"Ascom ISDN V.110"
"Ascom ISDN V.120"
"Ascom ISDN V.23"
"Ascom ISDN X.75"
"Ascom NDISWAN-Line01"
"Ascom NDISWAN-Line02"

Depending on the need or the type of connection, any one of the protocols may be selected. For example, for 64 Kbps Internet connection, select Ascom ISDN PPP and for 128 Kbps Internet connection, select Ascom ISDN MLPPP. If dynamic MLPPP facility is available with the ISP, Ascom Dynamic MLPPP option may be used. For file transfer V.120 or T.70 or X.75 may be used

6. Write some name under the "Company" heading

7.Write the phone number of the ISP in the box provided

8. Click on finish to complete the Connection Wizard

Establishing the Connection

1. Double-click on the Connection icon that you have recently make. The corresponding connection window opens

2. If this is your first connection, you must enter the user name and password that your Internet Service Providers (or remote access server manager) has given you in the User name and password field.

3. If you do not want to enter your password at each connection, check the Save password option.

Notes:
In this case anybody who has access to your PC will be able to connect to Internet using your account.

4. When the Client for Microsoft Networks element is not installed in the PC's network configuration, the Save password checkbox is dimmed. Please refer to Microsoft documentation for more information.

5. Click on Connect (you do not need to deal with the other parameters). The telephone number is dialed.

6. When the call is received by the Internet service provider (or by the remote access server), your identification parameters are verified. If the identification parameters entered are correct, the connection is established within a few seconds (the waiting time varies according to the type of connection and the options chosen). The window disappears automatically. To the right of the task bar, the remote access indicator is displayed and the ISDN indicator changes.
